Was ist CrossLoop?
CrossLoop ist ein KOSTENLOSES screen sharing utility (gibt’s da ein deutsches Wort für?), mit dem man ohne technisches Wissen extrem schnell eine Fernwartungssitzung (aha das war das deutsche Wort) zwischen zwei Windows-Rechnern aufbauen kann. Es sind ähnlich wie beim „Hamachi-Tunnel“ KEINERLEI Änderungen an den Firewalleinstellungen beider Rechner notwendig!
Ist CrossLoop sicher?
Die Verbindung zwischen beiden Rechnern ist mit 128-bit verschlüsselt. und wird mit einem 12stelligen Zahlencode gesichert. Der ferngewartete Rechner muß zur Verbindung explizit zustimmen.
Hier ein Auszug aus der „Privacy Policy“:
CrossLoop collects Individual Identifying Information when you register for an CrossLoop account, or use certain CrossLoop products or services, when you visit CrossLoop pages, and when you enter promotions or sweepstakes. CrossLoop may also receive Individual Identifying Information from our business partners.
CrossLoop also automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, CrossLoop cookie information and the page you requested.
CrossLoop uses information for three general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, and to contact you about specials and new products.
CrossLoop routinely time-stamps and logs events (like features used, participants, length of sessions.) This data is used for performance tuning and optimization of the CrossLoop services.
Hört sich sehr sicher an, aber ob es das auch wirklich ist? Bin bei sowas immer ein wenig paranoid.
Den Service den Cross Loops anbietet finde ich sehr interessant, aber die Privacy Policy liest sich ja nicht gerade sooo schmackhaft.
Technisch ist es für die Betreiber ein leichtes komplette Benutzerprofile zu erstellen und diese dann auch zu veräussern.

Ich habe CrossLoop gerade mal getestet. Hat prima funktioniert, ist aber wohl noch nicht ganz fertig, oder? Zumindest fehlt noch eine Dateiübertragung, die ich drigend brauche.
Bisher verwende ich Teamviewer, das gibt’s ebenfalls kostenlos, hat Filetransfer und ist auch noch aus dem Schwabenländle – allerdings sind die Sitzungen auf 30 Minuten begrenzt, danach wird’s dann ziemlich teuer 🙁
Kennt noch jemand eine Alternative, die ganz kostenlos ist und Filetransfer kann?

I would recommend that you uninstall it and install the version from http://www.crossloop.com.
